Eric, I find it amazing that you (a supposed technology guy) have no reservations at all about the future of AI as controlled by hostile governments or corporations. As I mentioned before, this is our generation's Manhattan Project. If we don't get a handle on the technology, we WILL lose to China. The question is how. I personally believe we need to plow ahead and not only explore every application of AI, both good and bad, but also good countermeasures to AI bad actors. That's not going to happen if Elon Musk sows fear and doubt over the technology because "OMG Google created a black George Washington!!!" Tenchusatsu
