SP,

I sold about 3% of our Apple position a couple of weeks ago at 190 because the cash in one of the accounts was running down a bit. Should have waited a couple of weeks but that is ok. Our portfolio is up big time right now.

I have read that some are speculating that some of this is short covering. Could be. I would imagine that Apple will give at least some of these gains back as momentum stalls, as it usually does. We still need to see more growth in Apple but I think that will be coming as people buy new devices to take advantage of the new AI capabilities.

I have been working on an Intel MacBook Pro that was bought while I was still working. I may still use this one but replace it with an iMac at my desktop. My wife may want a new computer as well. We will probably buy 2 new phones after the new ones are announced and maybe another 2 but those may be able to wait, depending on how all things work together. And maybe an additional iPad or two with M Chips as well. So just from our family, we will be upgrading many of our devices. I can use the cash from the sold Apple shares to pay for things. But that is just our family. There may be others looking to upgrade things as well, I would imagine.

As for market cap, it doesn't bother me one way or the other who is in the lead. As long as our portfolio is doing well.

Do you think Apple will hold on any price increases or, with the new capabilities, will they increase prices which will also push earnings higher? My guess is that prices will be held where they are as long as component prices are stable.
