Of course it's on the news all the time. It grabs attention. It garners likes, clicks, and ratings.

I'm not Catholic, but the Catholics I know never experienced any sexual abuse or witnessed it in any of their parishes.

When it happens, of course, the media is all over it. Then the cover-ups attract even more attention (so much for the "wisdom" of covering up).

All of this coverage leads to the view that most Catholic priests are a bunch of child molesters, which is far from the truth.
