Let's leave the question of fraud out of this issue. I think it's unfortunate that Bill Wexler has "spoiled" the discussion with repeating his opinion of "fraud and scam, and filthy crook." The question was raised by the Wessels... report of efficacy. If their report is accurate, the drug doesn't work in moderate and low dosages and has severe side effects in high dosages. This failure at Phase III is very serious, in my experience as an investor.

I owned LIPO when their major drug failed Phase III, was found to be ineffective. The stock went from my purchase price of 26 to around 5. That was some time ago, and now, even with other drugs of theirs doing well, the stock is 5-3/4. As a result of having been burned as a stockholder, I consider failure in Phase III to be very serious.
