Thanks for the thought Bob but I'm doing just fine. The book is just a way to help people become better investors. After reading....some people will wonder what they are doing here.... others will play it when they can....but you play it by a chart...not something you read on threads.

The FA info is interesting....but you have to know if it is true...thats hard to do these days on this thread.

Bob, TA can provide useful insight in terms of support levels and such but it's a statistical failure as a price predictor. Moreover, you need a reasonable sample in the form of a high-volume stock and you have to keep in mind that significant events can blindside your analysis.

These problems are amplified in low-volume stocks for obvious reasons: feedback effects and the relative impact of events. Now, one would think that with virtually limitless resources that a large brokerage could put together a team and/or automated system to leverage TA and make a killing, right? If it's so successful then we should expect to see it being applied with stellar results, right? In fact it's used to add additional insight and nothing more. My recommendation would be review a book on differential equations prior to exposing yourself to TA gobbledygook; the former will give you an appreciation for why these tools provide only marginal insight at best. Keep in mind, too, that we've had this incredible bull run wherein everything from tea leaves to astrology can legitimately declare success.

Three to five cents? I don't think so:

BTW, Syncronys has to pay Acceleration Software every time a copy of Windrenalin is sold and the have to pay McAffee and IMSI for each copy of Utility Belt they sell. Makes you wonder how they can dump UB at such low prices. I take it they own Zipper outright (?) which explains why revenues would magically be attributed to that product, first.
