LBN,

Here's a way to check what happened:

tscn.com

(It looks like there was only MM buying (no selling) at 28 1/4 last Friday morning.)

Best regards, John.

OFF TOPIC : I haven't had any experience with Datek, but if you are getting poor service, that $8/share trade price is a bad bargain. I used to trade with ETrade and left them, but that was because of their poor web page and slow server, not because they didn't make great trades for me. I now use Wall Street Access, which is excellent, and if there is a problem, you can get a broker on the phone immediately. It's $25/trade and well worth the pittance. 1/8 of a point on a 1000 share trade is $125 and I think it pays off in real-dollar terms. Not to mention the hassle factor, free real time quotes if you trade with any frequency at all, etc.

Datek is fine if you're trading 100 share blocks where the extra $17 is an appreciable % of your capital, or if you're trading long-term only, but if you're holding less than a month, you need the services of a better broker.
