Dave, I made the same move, and averaged down too early. All I can figure is, they needed the money pretty badly, or they wouldn't have done this to us (and to themselves, as they {maybe}hold quite a bit of their own stock).

But consider this...my conservative calculations on what the present production may do for share price put it around 2 1/4 to 3 1/2, depending....I know I break even a bit below 2 1/4, so anything above that becomes why I invested in this company.

Too, the company states that it wishes to become listed on the NASDAQ...that requires a $4 share price these days, and Oilex knows that further dilution will make that goal difficult to attain. So, maybe, no more debentures? That's my hope.

Suffice to say, I believe we are nearly over the hump. Time for the good news to begin, and this stock to march back up a bit. We need a bit more patience with Oilex, but it will hopefully be worth it.

Happy hunting!
Rick

David: As I see you are an experienced "Outside Investor Relations Counsel" for another publicly traded company, may I suggest that you read all posts on this thread since November 21, 1997.

Although this will take a significant amount of time, you may be very interested in what you read.

Should you have any specific questions, I suspect you could post those specific questions here on the thread. You're certain to get a variety of both positive and negative feedback.

David,
Good question ("Does management care about the value of their equity???"). I guess you can see it as love. You can say that you love someone, but it's the action that counts. I see how this husband (co.) keeps hurting his wife (shareholders) but she keeps coming back. For two years I though the company will change. They always had "that" chance.
I know someone may listen to what Omar is saying as if he is some kind of a prophet (hi PI). It's hard to see how he, closer than I to the company, can be fooled. If he is a nice guy, meaning he's an honest guy, why can't he find a better job? We are (or I was) in the stock to make a profit. Some "guy" decided to dump all these shares (Reg S, etc.) so you wont. He used to own (I don't know about now. It's "just" one more question that wouldn't get answered) 8M shares. Do I think he had lost money? Not really. Any money that he may have lost can be replaced by "consulting fees," no? The problem is that it's hard to tell. Then if you don't know, I don't know, but only few know, is that your kind of company? the kind that you invest money without knowing what will happen to it or how it's handled? If yes, I'm waiting for your check. ...and I'm still waiting.
Have a great weekend, and, hopefully, you'll regain all your loses in a shorts amount of time. Marty

Have a Y2K flue? Check businessweek.com for the March 2, 1998 article.

BTW, check this too, marketwatch.newsalert.com (or businesswire.com They keep opening more and more stores. They may come to your neighborhood soon. By then the stock will be at $100. But it'll take time.
I'm now waiting for an out-of-favor (LOJN) stock to get cheaper. I have time.
