<A> FCC Wireless Auction -2: First Round Gross Revs $322.5 Mln

The FCC's latest wireless auction includes licenses to serve parts of the New York City area. But agency officials said they don't cover areas in the city already licensed to CellularVision, a company that helped pioneer the technology.

Gross revenue after the first round of the auction totaled $322.5 million, the FCC said. Net revenue, which takes into account bidding credits the agency grants small companies, was $192.6 million.

Revenue from the auction will go to the U.S. Treasury.

Steve, anyone - a question: in valuing these licenses, and gauging the success of the auction relative to $$ expectations, do we use the credits?
