Richard:

The CBOT last trade and delivery dates are the important motivating forces behind an imminent price rise in gold and silver expected . Open interest in the gold and silver contracts suggests many players may exercise for delivery and squeeze the short-side of the equation. We have a very critical week for the metals coming up; it should reveal the breadth of what we can expect in the coming years. * * *

Hecla has retraced approximately 50% of its recent move and should be bought on any weakness forward. * * *

Mr. Buffet is a " Graham & Dodd " investor; he seeks value for the long-term. To that extent, it will not surprise me to learn he participates in the move for much of its life. We are entering a bull-market of many years in length that should move silver up to heights not currently considered. It was my reading of that famed bible of stock valuation, "The Intelligent Investor," in 1980, that led me to the appreciation for the many phenomena that exercise influence over any stocks ' performance.

P.S. I have been occupied with an addition to portfolio: Pioneer Natural Resources and have not had the time to post recently.

Yours, T.V.H.
