I think he meant Windows CE/settop/info appliance devices, not sub-X pc's, where Intel still has a dominant position. From the article

Barrett added that Intel will selectively pursue opportunities in the market for inexpensive processors used in consumer electronics .

Good morning Paul,

Isn't is nice to see what a good earnings report will do to wake up the analysts and make them realize how out-to-lunch they have been? I haven't heard one negative comment this a.m. on DELL's earnings, which is highly unusual...........usually there's SOMEBODY attempting to put a negative spin on things.

This should change quickly tomorrow morning when Bill Fleckenstein guest-hosts Squawk Box. When Intel was at $70 he proudly announced to his readership that INTC was his largest short. He REALLY must be steamed!
