Look what was posted yesterday as "news" at Operation 3Dfx: <<<No Matter what anyone says the Monster 2 is not going to be released on Friday. My guess is that EB was getting tired of having people cancel their orders for the Monster 2 and switching to the Creative product. REPEAT: No Monster 2 on the 20th.. this is direct from BOB Nelson at Diamond Multimedia. Expect a early March release date of the product instead>>> Also, LOOK AT the results of this poll dated Feb. 2 inquiring as to memory configuration preference and at what price one would pay for such. For the uninitiated, a 12 meg board has a 4/4/4 configuration, 8 meg has one of 4/2/2 and a 6 meg has 2/2/2. The 12 meg board garnered a whopping 66%!!! 42% voted for a board without games and at a price point of $329 24% voted for a board with games and TV out at a price of $399 The 8 meg board came in at 31% and the 6 meg at 3% op3dfx.com This is from a web site dedicated to 3Dfx. One could assume that the responders are all present owners of a 3Dfx card and are so enamored of it that they visit and participate on the site. There are many such sites.
