IMO CNN didn't want to fact check in real time is because it would have caused a right wing storm, they'd be calling CNN every derogatory thing they could think of.

I could only watch bits and pieces as it was too painful.

But I did notice when Dana Bash asked would Trump be OK with Putin getting all the territory he has gained, he did not answer and she did not follow up?

Maybe she did later in the debate?

And yes, as usual, Trump lied constantly. But he knows MAGA doesn't care.

I have always seen you as the voice of reason, so what is your take on the situation with Biden?

I watch a lot of European news and they seem horrified by Biden's debte performance.

Off hand it seems to me if a change needs to happen, Jill Biden will be the key?

Trump lied over and over and over again. I can think of only one time he even sideswiped the truth. CNN disgraced itself by committing to a policy whereby the two moderators would not fact-check the participants in real time. -Charles Pierce archive.ph
