Good overview. Nice document. But, I can look at Level II boxes all day until I'm blue in the face and if I don't understand what is going on between the bid/ask, then what vehicle of execution I use is meaningless. I am assuming from this thread that you may feel that "Watcher" is easier to use than say "Cybertrader"...one thing I like about Cybertrader is the depth of information, especially at, for example, a Block office. Between the news, the globex futures, and the market spotter, you have a simple set of tools that at worst, allow you to stay away from being crushed by MM's. I have much more trouble scalping without at least a decent idea of the trend/jump. It's too close to guessing... You also forgot that Selectnet can be used before the OPEN and that can make for some very profitable days before breakfast...
