And if we can produce more pollution that blocks the Sun then that will cool things off

That ruling is just further proof that the only way to tackle climate change is to dramatically reduce the human population. We can do that by supporting women's rights and opportunities world-wide or we can let the resulting climate disaster do it for us. I would prefer the format but I expect the latter.
