SSO went public, I think, on 6-21-2006. At least that's as far back as I can go on the site linked below. Using that date, SSO vs. SPY, and "NOT" reinvesting dividends, here are their results:

SSO .. +13.33 CAGR
SPY .. +9.28% CAGR

As I said in a previous comment, I'm not looking for 2x the performance of the S&P 500, I'm just looking to outperform it. If it's 2%, 3% or 4%, I'm tickled to death.

Dividend Channel handles the comparison, but it is confusing looking at total return compared to average annual return.
