Re: So there can easily be a ten year period in which SPY doubles and SSO doesn't come out ahead. You have to put things in proper perspective. I'm not going to buy, hold and forget. I'm not like buy and hold who claims he has never sold a share and rides to the bank to deposit his dividend checks. As market conditions change, I change my focus. I can promise you, if SSO ever drops 10% below my cost basis, it's gone !!! Just like many other assets I have sold that did the same thing. I'm not going to hold assets down 15%, 20%, 30% or more and hope to hell they turn around. Under the "CURRENT" condition of the market, down 10% from my cost basis and you're history.
