The problem is that the vast majority of Americans either got COVID, the vaccine, or both. That's how we arrived at herd immunity, which was the only way out of the pandemic. Hence I believe the doctors that are diagnosing your wife may have jumped to conclusions. It's too early to determine any definitive links between the vaccine and autoimmunity, or COVID and autoimmunity, etc., because the research is just too preliminary.
