There's the " Art of the Deal" and the "Art of the Call."

I learned the "Art of the Call ( Calling forth) from reading Aristotle's "De Anima."

Undoubtedly, that is not the only way to call forth.

You cannot have a " reasonable direct connection" if you don't "hear back.

Some people look for instantaneous results. It does not usually work that way. Sometimes it takes months,even years to get prayers answered. G-d sometimes tests our sincerity when we pray.
