Thanks for your note, Marcie. You're a sweetie to have shared your observations with us. I have observed the same cycles in both stocks and that's why I put them in my AIM category. It works the way you're working it, but it's automated. AIM has me buying small amounts during dips but I also sell small amounts during the rises. AIM only really works on stocks that do this up and down thing quite rigorously. It helps if the stock uptrends, though. VLSI and DIGI, as you have observed, have not been doing enough of that. I'm glad you're in both stocks and doing much the same method. We might be right if we have come to the same conclusions. :-)

Linda

Hi Marcie, I've had VLSI a long time, but with a 200% indicated profit on it at this point, I'm quite pleased with its trading range.

I also hold DIGI and agree that it has been quite frustrating. Again, I've owned it long enough that there's a fat profit in the account, but recently it's been a cash drain (as I have averaged down) and isn't showing any signs of rising. If I look 12 months back at the announced bookings, it sure looks like 1998 should be a great year. I'll remain patient. In the mean time, I've added ADCT and ASND to my telecomm portf. I sort of include VLSI and VTSS in that area although they don't make equipment, just parts.

Best regards, Tom
