I'm not arguing that the President needs help. I agree with you and if
I were an American I would be having a very hard time right now trying
to reconcile that. Half the country probably disagrees.

But, when you say That's not what the media is reporting, well they are
not in the president's bedroom or living room or oval office, so what they
are reporting is conjecture imo. Especially conversations between a man
and his wife. I need more than that to say that his wife is forcing him to stay
in office. But that's just me.
