You didn’t mention your dirty laundry getting dragged out for the entire world to see. Not something I would want to go through if I was wealthy like Trump. Add criminal convictions for running and winning too these days. You think Trump won’t try to put Biden’s son or Biden himself behind bars? The stakes are high for both candidates. It is crazy the “democracy” in USA came down to putting a former President or his family to prison. I am certain Trump will try to do that, he is out for revenge.

And that is why we have the crap today.

It could easily be simplified with a lot better qualified people.

How I believe the election process should be:

1. Start at the local level 12 months before the election. (November 1st)

2. Anyone wanting to run for office submits their application to the county clerk, by November 1st

3. Each county votes to select their nominee. (January 1st). Each nominee gets 30 minutes of air time to present why they should be President of the United States. The nominee must have 51% to advance to the next level. The county will have run off votes until a nominee is established.

4. Each selected nominee then goes to the state level. Each state votes to select their nominee (March 1st). Each nominee gets another 30 minutes of air time to present why they should be President. The nominee must have 51% to advance. The state will have run off votes until a nominee is established.

5. Each state nominee (50) then advances to the Federal level. Each nominee gets 1 hour of air time to present why they should be President. 1st vote (May 1st), top 25 move to the next round.

6. The top 25 get another hour of air time to state why they should be President. 2nd vote (July 1st), top 10 move to the next round.

7. The top 10 get another hour of air time to state why they should be President. 3rd vote (September 1st), top 5 move to the next round.

8. The top 5 get 2 hours of air time to state why they should be President. 4th vote (November 1st). If a nominee gets over 50%, they become President. The 2nd highest becomes VP. If no one gets 50% then the top 3 have a run off. If one gets over 50%, they become President, the 2nd highest becomes VP. If still no one has over 50%. Then another run off with the top 2. The highest becomes President, the other becomes the VP.

Very simple process.
