As much as I think Biden is mentally unfit to be POTUS - this is who the GOP should want to run against. If he steps aside, Kamala won't be the choice. The Dems will pull a fast one and maybe hoist a Hillary / Obama ticket (or something like that). they could raise money in a flash. They wouldn't worry about fallout - they didn't in 2020 when they pulled one over the American people with basement Joe.

It is not just that Biden has become a vegetable or mentally incompetent; more importantly, it is his policies on immigration and lack of unconditional support for Israel that is causing him to lose massive support. Also, the inflation issue and lack of concern toward the lower and middle income is a huge factor driving voters away from the Biden Administration. As bad as Biden is, the worst thing the Dems can do is replace him. That will signal panic on the Dem side and create further Exodus away from the Democratic Party. The DNC is in a lose/lose situation in regard to Biden.
