I agree with anyone that the vaccine saved millions of lives. It saved my life. I had Covid right after I had open heart surgery and was in isolation in the ICU for 10 days. I have never disputed that. Your premise is wrong. Trump fought the use of the vaccine for a long time. I give credit to his administration for fast tracking the development of the vaccine. But that does not change the fact that he resisted it very publicly for a long time.
