Was the trial in NY a fair one? I know that there is a large segment of the population that believes it was not. I am not one of them. I believe in our justice system and it is the most important part of our democracy. While the trial was going on, Trump railed against it everyday after the trial went recessed for the day. So a big portion of the electorate bought into his show that he put on everyday.The trial was not televised, but Trump used his pulpit to his advantage because he knew he got to say whatever he wanted without being challenged, unlike what happened in the courtroom, when all facts were debated by both sides! He had the chance to take the stand and say the things that he said outside in front of the TV cameras but he declined. That says alot. They may view him as a better option than Biden. I do not doubt that. I wish we had better options, but I will vote for democracy everyday. And that eliminates one candidate. I was not a never Trumper as you say. I would say that I am now. I've seen him at work, and don't like what I see. I've seen my share of narcissists, but he takes the cake. Most of my family are diehard Trumpers. That is their choice. But like I told my Dad, Trump does not embody how my Dad raised me. Everything that I was raised on is the antithesis of Trump. People like the idea to stick it to the government. They think he will clean out the swamp, but yet cannot define the swamp. They think they love isolationism and populism. But fascism is more like what he aspires to. People will vote for who they want to. I hope it is for democracy.
