So I follow hockey, some older Journalists were saying when they were kids, winter outdoor rinks in lower Ontario had frozen ponds, lakes and backyard rinks, not much anymore. winters are too warm. Even In BC when I was a kid some lakes froze solid for a while. The last time it was cold enough for local ponds and lakes to freeze safe enough for skating was in the 80's. Right after work there was a lake at walking distance so a buddy and I and put skates on and shot a puck around
