zalesky...Re the $35 options. I don't even scratch the surface in knowledge about options so can you give me some explanations how options can keep a stock at a specific level. I can see how a stock price can move an option price but I don't get it the other way around. Thanks for your help, I too would like to see a move to the $40 level.

You are right.
What is holding CPQ's stock price is the option. After the option expired, CPQ will
start to move up , the near term level is $40 to $45 ( near term means next one month), then
after CPQ releases some plan for DEC , the stock will be up quickly . CPQ bought DEC for its
market shares in the NT and UNIX world, and DEC's leading edge in technology, the ALPHA will be another weapon to hedge upon Intel for high end CPU.So , there won't be much room for mercede to sell for high price once released.
