They mostly complain about having their posts fact checked. They see that as censorship.
I've seen cases where the "fact-checking" is clearly left-biased.
It's all about money and nothing else.
You are correct, but it's more complicated than what it seems on the surface.

There are competing priorities when it comes to Big Tech and social media.

Maximizing clicks is just one of them, but that could backfire if the "clicks" were baited by bots.

Increasing "DEI scores" is another priority, at least up until recently.

Big Tech also has a vested interest in showing the public how much they "care" about the environment and that climate changey thingy.

All of this, of course, is motivated more by the bottom line than about any sense of altruism.

Trump and MAGA, of course, want to reverse these priorities, but they'll have a real hard time doing so without making it profitable for Big Tech.

And thus far, I don't see any effort on their part to do so. Better to just pump Xitter and Tr00th Social for their "loyalty" than to entice the rest of Big Tech ...
