Read Replies (2) | Respond to of 219615 GG, I see you are not a scientist, engineer or person who understands causal relationships or reason. I should check your profile but you could write how you've got hold of money during your life. I guess it's from confiscated sources or inherited. You are right that money has no value but wrong that the things it buys have value. The things it buys also have no value. In the same way people have no value. By now your brain will have failed to comprehend. That's because you have a slave driving, confiscating, kleptocratic, egocentric view of existence. But you're in luck as I am about to altruistically explain value in general and money in particular. Value is created along with identity and reality itself by the minds of people in a hall of mirrors exchange of value. People don't actually want the objects they buy or the gold or money, they want the identity they create in their exchanges of value. In quantum physics, reality is formed when a wave function is observed and it has to make a Schroedinger's choice to be alive or dead. Our minds are observers. We literally create reality and our identity within that reality in the process of exchange of value, exchanging value in the hall of mirrors of consciousness. We have invented money as a unit of measurement just as we invented metres and kilograms to help measure reality. It's not actually altruistic of me to explain this as I hope to help readers understand how reality works so that there will be less carnage, stupidity, inefficiency and problems in the world making my life problematic. Maybe somebody will read and think, "Good point. I could create a unit of value that is efficiently run, secure from disruption or confiscation by governments and other criminals, quick and massless." Bitcoin was an effort like that but the blockchain idea is bung. It's hideously inefficient, absurdly slow, easily lost or confiscated, consuming megatons of energy to run though it enables nearly zero transactions. Money has to run on identity. If you are able to understand this and create it, you could create out of thin air about $100 trillion in value. Easy peasy. No stupid gold mining, bitcoin mining or government Ponzi kleptocratic pyramid scheme. I got the machinery running to enable it. It is now up and running and we're able to overlay the unit of value for vast identity formation. It's unit of value will supersede gold, bitcoin, US$ and other anachronisms, leaving them to rust in their bunkers. Note that It's is the correct use of apostrophe as It is the name of the conscious entity I allocated quarter of a century ago to what most people now call AI. Maurice
