Hi Ann: How are you? I am responding to your post because you appear to be soliciting new (record breaking?) near term targets for Intel and mimicking an auction of sorts for same. Perhaps, you may be closer to the gavel than you think! Wouldn't it be a fitting close, if INTC were in fact 'sold!' for that elusive $150 or even $200 per share. Frank would then have to rename his thread, to 'Destiny' perhaps? I don't know whether you caught this 'landmark' piece that I wrote towards the end of January and submitted to you all for judgement on February 4, 1998, 12:01 AM EST. Message 3336083 So far I would have to surmise that the market for the most part, has judged it well. Whilst it may have been dismissed or scoffed at as pure fantasy on this revered thread. My work seeming to once again fall on deaf ears, I decided to migrate to greener and more receptive pastures for a while, in order to regain my composure. :<( (gg). Just an immodest scolding! :<) (gg). Actually, have not been able to post that much, as I have been totally focused on all this incredible market action, trading like a demon. Now that Computer Associates (CA) has mounted a hostile takeover for a company larger than itself, perhaps my 'original' thinking does not seem so far fetched after all. Judging by the impressive technical characteristics of Intel's recent ability to not only neutralize but surmount what was for several months, a potentially quite negative structure, it would not surprise me in the least, if we were to discover that this stock were already 'in play'. When Intel is upgraded to a strong buy, as was the case yesterday - with lofty targets ahead - It implies several important statements: #1. It makes a total mockery of the downgrades that were made during the last quarter by so called Wall St Legends. #2. It completely vindicates the continuing bullish outlook held by the Intel faithful who have made this thread what it is, and rewards them for their steadfastness in the face of extreme pessimism, and: #3. Begs the question: Does somebody now know something new and more important that we are not yet privy to, that is dramatically accentuating the recent surges in price? As we are currently in one of the most bullish monthly performances in market history, I would not rule anything in or out in this market except a lot of surprises! If the Nasdaq maintains this move into a record breaking run we could see 1800 and possibly meet my interim target of Dow 8800. If MSFT and CSCO can rejoin the bull market express today and next week this scenario could still unfold, but keep in mind that we are beginning to reach some excessive valuations at these levels. Hope you're doing well Best Wishes to all Wiz
