YHOO gives you the quote that has the bid/ask, volume, high/low etc while the charts are loading. So what's the big deal?

Besides I LOVE the chart feature on YHOO. If someone bounces a stock symbol off me I can get an instant snapshot of the stocks past performance in a jiffy. Half the time I can decide if a stock is worth researching just by looking at the chart. Saves me lot's of time.

I have portfolios set up in both XCIT and YHOO. Two reasons why I use YHOO quotes more. One, because you get recent news on all stocks in the portfolio when you get the quotes. Two, YHOO quotes seem to be a little less dated than XCIT quotes.

On another topic, there was a mention today in the Wash. Post about a Harris poll. They indicated 36% of Americans were using computers to access the internet, up from 12% two years ago. Didn't mention what last year's figure was.

You could look at this two ways. One, is that 12% of Americans are gaining access each year. Or two, about 75% growth per year. If you look at it the first way, growth this year will only be 33%. Or if you look at it the second way, you can only have about another 1.5 years of growth like this until everyone is connected.

Either way you look at it, domestic growth (at least in terms of number of people accessing) is going to slow dramatically sometime in the next two years.

re: bid/ask on YHOO quotes

did you know you can create your custom view which has bid/ask
instead of whatever else?
on YHOO i mean..
so your version of daywatch can have what ever data points that
you want to examine..
