Tench, you can't make obviously false statements like that without being challenged. If you had read Cannon's 93-page ruling, you would know she acknowledged the fact that prior special counsels appointed under the special statutory authority of the Independent Counsels Act were legal. But that Act expired and was not renewed or replaced. So all principal officer appointments, like Smith, must be made in accordance with Article II Section 2. This requirement was ignored by AG Garland.

Now, I know law is not your forte, but you CAN read. Try doing it.
