Your story is my story except I knew that Steinbrecher is/was into wireless equipment.

JMD + David Anderson- Re: Steinbrecher? Please look up my posts no. 2039 and 2041, partially on this subject. Also if you have a bit more time, look up Geo. Gilder's article "Fiber keeps it's promise" goto forbes.com Great background material.
My sense is that Tellabs had (has) plenty of cash and looked ahead 5-10 years at what technology would be great to have and would be real growthy, thus they bought Steinbrecher. If you believe in Tellab's mgt. and their forward thinking decisions, then it will be a great purchase. Matrix is just gathering steam in sales(+50% per year) and will give co. a nice 6-12+ year run. One of the next fast horses out of the Tellab's stables will be our WDM products, as in Steinbrecher type products.
A LONG TERM BULL, AND PROUD OF IT, AS TLAB BREAKS OUT OF IT'S REST AND IMHO WILL GIVE US A 40-60% INCREASE IN PRICE IN 1998.
