This post is a bit off topic but I would appreciate it if everyone read it and we came to some conclusion. Let's put this "off Topic" thing to bed once and for all. Dave, I agree - a little humor is always appreciated (at least by me). When newer visitors complain about the lack of serious discussion, it is usually because they came along a little too late and missed the boat on all the serious stuff. Now they're annoyed that we're not accommodating their curiosity by re-hashing every FTEL announcement that came out in the past year and re-discussing every opportunity to death once again! Are we a serious bunch of investors? I like to think so - I know I am! I work with Evan (ELK) and he lives and breaths FTEL. Have we earned the right to "lighten it up" once in a while? I think the answer is yes once again. I love thinking about the future of FTEL and I also love to laugh! What do you do at home? Do you change rooms every time the discussion changes topics? Do you discuss only TV in the family room and recipes in the kitchen? If you talk about TV in the kitchen are you sent back to the family room because you are "Off Topic". Should we create a different thread for every style of discussion regarding FTEL, our jokes, competition, sports, chili recipes, wine, phoney news, etc. I don't know - the FTEL/SI jury is still out on that one. You guys decide - I'll go along with the majority - just don't make everyone an outcast because they posted "non-FTEL" information. Maybe, in the absense of serious discussion, some of us were just bored and attempting to keep the thread alive. When the news hits and and things change I'll discuss them to the "nth" degree. When it's quiet we should carry on about whatever comes to mind. Given the choice I would rather read bad jokes and recipes than read Jean or ValueSpec's constant bashing! The old timers here asked that when you have something to say that is not related to FTEL we should put "Off Topic" at the beginning of the message. I like that idea. If you see that sentence at the beginning of the message, you can click next and skip it or read it and enjoy the bantor. No harm done - the choice is yours. In the words of the immortal John Belushi - "Exccuuusssee me!" Go ahead and berate me for another "non-ftel" message! - Pat
