Ramsey - Yes, I think you have sniffed it out! So the only thing left for GSM will be the appeal of colored handsets. Tom

Ramsey- Godzilla is worried about Bambi with the IPRs, I do agree that the 3G standard should be compatible with both technologies and so far it looks like the Q has the key to do it. Godzilla, lacking a key to cdma, realizes that if it decides to pay Bambi for his key, then Bambi has enough dough to grow into Godzilla's brother, which is where the $400 share price comes from.

However, Godzilla is threatening to do everything it can to avoid paying for the key, including threatening to blow off cdma altogether, and with a lot of the world and the likes of csco and msft behind them, could possibly do it. Of course there would be major delays in GSM data capability in the mean time. Thus creating more opportunity for cdmaOne in the near term, allowing the q to increase its lead in 3G.

The poker game is on and the stakes are huge.
