Hi Winston: Ya' know, even though it probably wouldn't make one iota
of a difference, sending a nice email to Investor Relations (from
CPQ's website - comments section saying "please foward to investor
relations" and I expect a response)...., uh.. sending a nice "vocal"
email expressing one's feelings couldn't hurt, right? I mean if they
got enough of them on say a given day (like "today", e.g. <g>), they
might just forward a couple of them to the executive suite ....Hmmmm?
(what do you have to lose? ... nothing). Lot's of people here on SI,
lots of "unhappy" people here on SI <G>.
Regards,
Joe...<I know, I did. And I wasn't nice about it either <no g>>

I did not sell my Dell to buy Cpq (but came within inches)..instead
I was able to dump a few other stocks and buy Cpq as well. I think the stock is going through a VERY TEMPORARY lull and will be alive and kicking within a few weeks (just my humble opinion.) It is not uncommon for companies like cpq to go into somewhat of a hibernation when in "acquisition mode"...don't do anything rash (I did with GTW after they tanked last Fall and learned ANOTHER lesson...patience.)

Just some words of encouragement.

T.R.

P.S. Dell and Compaq are both GREAT companies!
