Alan, I agree, BUT look at the data from a weekly time scale. The 50 week MA (a longer term indicator)is rising. Insider selling around tax time is usually just for that, taxes, and for insider selling being in the public knowledge, the stock is behaving very well.

I get Vickers through Schwab500. They show Gary Seamans, President, sold 95,000 shares at prices between $13.11-$13.63 from 1/27-1/30/98. From Thanksgiving to mid-December, 1997, various other insiders sold nearly 200,000 shares in the mid teens. I'm in total agreement with your last statement; if the stock is floundering in a strong market how will it do in a bad market?
