That is fine, glad you can do it. Perhaps it was you I'd contacted about taking over a thread and not Dmitry, I don't recall.

I wish all threads required a vote to change moderators, or at least the popular ones.

My favorite thread had a new moderator instilled when the old one passed away, with no votes cast at all or even any discussion about it. Much sturm and drang followed by the thread members, but to no avail. Cries for a proper vote fell on deaf ears.

In LindyBill's case, rather than him just asking you to change the mods on his boards, someone else showed up after he was gone, using LindyBill's account, claiming Bill had given him his login credentials.

That resulted in someone we all knew was dead suddenly reappear and start posting again.

It also resulted in having a member here posting under two different accounts.

Isn't that a violation of the TOU?

Although the person posting as LindyBill stated Bill had given him his login credentials, that seems like a pretty sketchy way to have someone acquire the ability to mod a board, simply by logging in as the deceased moderator.

Do you have any idea how many members here have login credentials for more than one account?
