OT-- calling all techies, would someone explain this to me?

It has long been my custom to start a reply with a segue clip from the post to which I'm responding, which I italicize. When I clip and paste text from one of my posts, what results is precisely the text I clipped. Annoyingly, when I clip text from other posters, I often get something that looks like this:



Rather than this:
Nevertheless the bottom line is this: Trump's policies were better for America, and Biden's were worse. His is a failed presidency.
When I write a reply, I am given blank space into which I put words. The result, viewed as raw text, is nothing but the words I typed. Would someone please tell me what it is that other posters are doing that produces all that table crap instead of just words and why they would do it?

It's so annoying because I have to clean it up unless I want my post to have a lot of blank lines.
