Hi Igor-

Fiasco was used to avoid reciting details but I'm not so sure it was a fiasco.

No doubt FORE's products would have been a great win for BAY.

And this may be why FORE balked. If FORE's products enhanced BAY's market competitiveness FORE might have lost more in direct retail sales to BAY than it would have gained from a reseller aggreement. Just a thought.//ed

Igor,

My understanding - and I've heard many different options - Is that BAY really wanted the FORE switch to help them in the ISP space, whilst FORE wanted BAY to OEM to gain penetration into BAY's installed base. I'm sure FORE thinks that BAY selling their kit into the ISP market gains them little due to their own success in this area. I don't think either party qualified up front what they really wanted out of the deal.
