Thanks ZDR, it remains a passion of mine and I'm hell bent on values such as accountability, honesty and as much transparency as I can as I navigate the markets. Of course, humility as well since I won't be 100% correct, learn from every bad entry, failed move and just an understanding that I have my own lens I look through.

The issue with dotcom rise and fall was that I was in the markets less than 10 years. Heck, this thread I think started back in 97 or 98. I sometimes go back and read those early posts to gauge my own growth, the names that were big back then and our thoughts during the rise.

I do recall feeling uncomfortable with many of the names and the general parabolic nature of what we were seeing. But, at the same time, I was a technologist myself and believed in many of the names such as CSCO, DELL, MSFT, AAPL, etc. Then a bit later AMZN, GOOGL, etc.

But there was a big disparity between those on the cutting edge and infrastructure edge of the .com rise (Internet) and all these other sh!t stocks that were getting huge valuations, much like some of the names are today. It's eerily similar and the markets have a short history. That is why I work very hard now to find out who the players are vs. those who are simply saying "AI" in an earnings report. I want the top 1-2 in each of the categories while being wary of those actual categories.

A good example of that last statement is the difference between NVDA/AMD/AVGO and companies like SMCI. I still have a very small piece of SMCI and for good reason. But, it's coattail trade and the type that won't work into a significant revaluation event like we're seeing. I'm very curious about their earnings.

So, short answer is "yes" I do remain concerned and have continued to say that I see many parallels in our current market to the .com rise/fall. That said, it doesn't mean that there won't be huge winners ... I just suggest sticking to those names that are clearly the leaders and not those riding coattails.
