I think that's the number of IBM mainframe sites around the world. A large percentage of those are DOS/VSE and VM. MVS at one time (way back before I retired just over a year ago) was around 4,500 sites. There were many VSE sites converting to MVS to increase their capacity.

So, let's assume that there are now 7,500 MVS sites. Half of those probably have at least one CPWR product, so the potential for a ALYD/CPWR combined effort is about 3,750 sites. Even if ALYD only got 'invited' to 1/4 of the combined sites, that makes over 900 contracts. I can live with that.

I'm new to this thread but not to KY2 issues. The MVS worldwide base is estimated at 14,000. 7,000 in the US, the majority of the balance across Europe.
