If you have not given orders to exercise, nor have you given
anyone at that firm trading authorization over your account,
I would suggest you send that information via e-mail to:

enforcement@sec.gov

In about 1-3 years, you should own the firm, or at least its' cash value.

If I let a 1$ in the money call expire, I own the stock and will have to pay for it.
I agree. I do not know of any firm paying out cash for exercised equity options. If that were the case, why not exercise the options rather than sell them under parity?
