Freedom of peaceful assembly is constitutionally guaranteed by s. 2(c) and is one the Charter's four fundamental freedoms. 23 In addition, s. 1(e) of the Canadian Bill of Rights protects freedom of assembly without any prescriptive requirement that it be peaceful in nature.Sep 15, 2022
