did you ever attend a national guard meeting for artillery?setting up logistics, leading soldiers, training soldiers, making day-to-day, minute-by-minute decisions???? . I don't remember all that stress except when i refused an e5 because i was already going 3 and 4 nights a week to get my college degree.

of course we provide a critical service but it is nothing like you described. dam if he was doing all that it is even more serious he quit and left his troops without leadership!!!!!!

There's a level of ignorance in that post that is surprising for you.

You do realize Walz was in the guards, right? He was literally a weekend warrior. Never saw combat. No hotspots. No IEDs anywhere, unless they were at George Floyd riots.

It's noble service, and he should be honored for it. But don't confuse that with soldiers in a combat theatre.
