If I heard that right, the question is does he mean only shipped to OEMs for evaluation or does he mean that they are starting to ship to an OEM on an OEM deal?

I haven't listened to the call yet, but could the comment mean that Ancor has shipped the switch to a reseller (perhaps for stock), but that the end user may not have bought/received it yet?

Greg

P.S. I see from the next message that someone who participated in the conference call has answered your questions. I couldn't possibly has faster fingers than Craig's, could I?

Ron,

I think I remember him saying something to the effect that although MKII switches were actually shipping, they may not be in end-user's hands yet. To my way of thinking, that could mean one of two things. Either they have some resellers that will be selling the MKII, or they have actually shipped some MKII switches to an OEM, but those switches haven't yet been shipped to end-users.

I am VERY glad to hear that the MKII is finally shipping in production quantities. It's been a long wait.

Craig

I've just listened to the conf call... some near-quotes regarding the "production unit" question:

----

"We're definitely shipping production."

"To OEMs?"

(pause) "Yes, to OEMs."

[I consider the pause significant - it really sounded to me like one of those "am I allowed to say that?" pauses. It could mean that these are not just evaluation units.]

----

"The IBM deal, is that the new switch?"

"No"

"Can you tell me who is getting the Mark IIs then?"

"We're mostly dealing with the storage OEMs there"

----

"We're shipping production units... that doesn't mean our customers are taking them all the way to the end user yet."
