If you're new to the market, SALV is NOT the way to get your feet wet. You'll just drown when all you might have wanted was to tread water. The prediction is ominous for SALV, unless you have the ability to short sell in huge quantities, not available to most of us. With 10-14 million shares pre-split or 1-1.4 million post split coming on the market in the next 6 months (26-30% of the company) the stock is doomed. There is no chance that the new investors in the Preferred are long term holders. With offshore management AND investors, there is no chance for the stock to perform. If the stock is $2.50 just after the split, the selling pressure in the quantities that will be sold will drive the stock below $1.00 very quickly, especially with the shorts in the game. The only possibility is that the technology will overcome greed and incompetence. It is the best rapid testing format that exists and would do the world a great service if it became available. To me, that is as sad as the way the company has been allowed to disintegrate. I would suggest to anyone out there that we start exloring a way to make current management truly accountable for the future of the company. I don't know how this works, but if you have everything you own tied up in trusts in Jersey and other tax havens and you are not a US citizen, what risks are you taking? It appears that there is nothing that shareholders can do to put the feet to the fire of management. They can just continue to spend their lives in the freedom of Europe and we are left holding the bag. If you have any suggestions, I'd love to hear them.
