Mike,
Datek confirms market orders within 60 seconds or the trade is free.
E-trade takes longer to confirm but the stock shows up in the account before the confirm. Sometimes I hold a position for 10 minutes so late confirms wouldn't work for me. With e-trade they sometimes put the order in and hold the confirmation for a few minutes and confirm the order at a higher or lower price than the trade and take the difference themselves if the price moves. I hate having to check up on every trade to keem them honest. I have been with e-trade since they have been in business and its always been crooked. I have to enter a trade discrepency on just about every trade, I don't trust them. They have changed the price when I complain every time but one. I have real time quotes so I see my order go by and then the price moves and they confirm a different price. Too much trouble to transfer all the accounts I have with them.
