Having himself spoken out in 2016 when doing so put him at great risk, I thought Jordan was able to speak about that matter quite effectively. A church leader who avoids putting himself at risk when he knowingly shrinks back from telling his people any necessary truth because he might lose their approval, and perhaps more importantly to him, their financial support, can't be trusted. A good thing to find out then is whether a pastor has ever suffered for the Faith before you let him tell you how to follow the Lord.
