Oh, sorry... fell asleep there for a while... "Successful"... at a cost now said to be... 50,000 bodies per month ? That's a Vietnam wars worth of Russian losses... per month. Now, throw a few thousands of dead North Koreans on top of the pile... Seems to me that you have a grotesquely twisted definition of success... e ven before your cheerleading for ... let's escalate this to a nuclear exchange... all because Russia wrongly wants to control Ukraine ? Oh, and Georgia... And Moldova ? And... And...Yeah... the same is true of the cohort... China wants to win a license to try to control Taiwan, similarly... but they thought it prudent to run it past the (let's you and him fight) filter with the Russians agreeing to that... as trial run... before committing ? North Korea... clearly itching for a chance to "participate"... which should be making China a tad nervous... along with South Korea... and pretty much everyone else. But, remains to be seen how Kim's bubble management induces him to respond to the results of "gaining the experience" ? I detest the Europeans feckless weakness... and agree that how they addressed Ukraine... duplicitously... instead of just saying no... and meaning it... is in no small part responsible for enabling Putin's stupid decision to launch this into a hot war... that now has him casually feeding his population into a meat grinder... because he misjudged (some) European's weak character and fecklessness in choices of behavior... as probable incapacity... We'll see, soon enough... (at least by January 6th) whether Americans will allow another election to be stolen... ahhh... another one... other than the one in 2020, probably a couple of others before that... and without anyone doubting it... the most recent one in Venezuela ? no / to the s The fiction that ANY election is to be automatically trusted without proving capable oversight and reasonable guarantees of their legitimacy and the integrity of the process... seems it is dying rapidly... if not already quite fully dead... Who minds the minders... ? The answer is usually found on the street... as when the morality police kill someone for what they deem a dress code violation ? The Democrats various and hyper-ventilating over-reactions to peaceful protests on January 6th.. the last time... clearly appears now as mens rea... more of a proof of their own guilt than correct reading of reality. The bubble they've crafted for themselves in "managed media" filters... has them still wildly detached from others perception of that... which has amplified through their conduct of various frauds as "lawfare"... all of it reeking of desperation... "Oh, hell yeah... they lied... and they'd cheat"... if they could... is now their brand. Can they handwave and litigate past that ? Formerly "main stream" media... are now such shockingly flagrant propaganda... that few should be able to miss the fact... and it appears few are... and not just as no one is watching it. Who was it, again... that voted for selecting Kamala ? We see them reduced to the fiction of "saving democracy"... by acting overtly "as required" in killing it... within their own party ? How will their voters react ? On the left... some, quite jarringly, are changing sides... probably not limited just to former CANDIDATES... as Tulsi Gabbard and Kennedy... it also will be their voters ? Some will simply opt to stick heads in the sand... and fail to turn out to vote... while others, predictably, will have tantrums and turn out to burn their own cities down... when "the cheat" conducted in their cities... fails to work as they want ? Makes about as much sense as riots after football games... which perhaps makes sense only as... bread and circuses isn't cutting it, anymore ? I do expect the U.S. election will prove enormously consequential... in due time... But, I don't expect it will matter much, either way, in being able to impede much of "what's coming"... in the short term... or while realizing global and economic risks that have been building for a long time... the recognition of which has been delayed as much as possible, as long as possible, as the goal of policy. It may prove that this election, either way, defines a limit in the ability of bureaucrats to "kick the policy can down the road" ? And, of course... given all the talk about "Great Resets"... and globalists planning for enabling disruptions (including fostering the wars) as a part of ushering in... their planned attempt at taking over.... the entire world ? "Be careful what you ask for... because you might get it". Bloody Putin... gleefully grabbed the short end of that stick offered to him... thinking it was a long stick greenlighting his ascendence... rather than a design for reducing and then sacrificing him... to advance their own evil agenda while taking him down... period... stop... not "taking him down a notch" ? Russia is already at the point where Putin's folly of "rebuilding the empire"... which no one... including those backing him in his war... want... or expect to succeed [even while expecting their own similar plans... will succeed better by first enabling the sacrifice of Putin... as a prelude to enabling their dismemberment of Russia?] Committing to that expansionist agenda... now leaves Russia... not "expanding the empire"... but barely able to herd the house cats... much less able to defend their borders. Kursk... is not just a minor humiliation in a tactical finger poked in their eye ? If Russia can't defend that border... what border can they defend ? What Russia does have as a remaining advantage... if inadvertently generated... is that sanctions have better prepared Russia for the larger collapse of the global economy than most others. Sort of the same way that the bankers imposing austerity on Greece... leaves them in better position to survive a more synchronized event in the failure of everyone else ? Already beyond the point of fully committed, I have little confidence that there is any change likely in the U.S. that can or will result in making any real or immediate difference to those now engaged in running the meat grinder at full tilt. I don't think Putin can agree to end it, now... on any terms... and survive, himself. Neither Ukraine nor Europe can allow Russia a "win" emboldening Putin's effort seeking Lebensraum... ? I doubt Trump's plan for ending it... starts with "who gives a shit... let Russia have it" ? I'd expect Trump winning... if he does... at least has a chance of a success in throttling it back... in eastern Europe. He might generate a new willingness to talk about it, at least... and "for real"... but, to what end ? I'd still not expect what it seems others might be expecting in result of that... in relation to carrots and sticks... or change imposing outcomes. A Kamala win... more likely to prove roughly akin to solving the problem of the brakes on your car failing... by removing them. That perhaps not much different than what we do have now... only without any fear factor that exists working in restraining choices? But, then... at least we'll have a President who is able to laugh about it as she shrugs her shoulders... and that should make some number of clueless people feel a bit more comfortable ? x/s I expect, as always... the big build up to the anticipation or the fear of the election outcome "changing everything"... will last a couple months, at most, before its entirely forgotten. And then... same shit, different day... while Mqurice bids the body count up to 60,00 a month... for the win ?
