Glen, buy the Dell Feb 115s for 1 1/2 before earnings. Good chance it'll go to 10! OOOOPs that was yesterday, why didn't you ask me then? Seriously, Glen take a look at your post. I'm starting to get worried. It MAY be time to take a break, and regroup.

Your pal in oil & Van,
Dave

>>I'm currently looking for a hail mary.<<

This may not seem like a serious answer, but go to the Mirage and put your money on black (or red). You won't lose any sleep waiting for your option to expire, and I think the odds are at least as good.

<<OFF TOPIC>> GD, No option play, but I can point you toward what I think is a deeply undervalued biotech company priced like an option -- currently $1 5/8 with a 12 month target of $9. It is called Progenitor (PGEN) and there is an SI thread with lots of information.
207.183.153.23
PGEN is a genomics company that specializes in the discovery of disease genes. The company has many news announcements expected in 1H98 that could lift the stock price. The company trades with fairly thin volume, so any buying interest could seriously lift the stock price. Check it out.

good luck,
Baird

GD, I happen to like the looks of the CPQ buy of DEC.
I think that by this summer this deal is going to look
good and CPQ price will reflect it.

I have some Jul 35 calls, and I think they will do me
well. Of course, this is all just my opinion, but I
think you should investigate this one. I personally
think CPQ is just sitting now partially because Friday
is options expiration and the number of Feb 35's was
huge (many positions have been closed by now, of course).
Also I suspect that the funds that left CPQ last fall
are trying to get back in, but they don't want to chase
the stock.

Even though this is just my opinion (and I make mistakes)
I think it is worth looking at over the weekend. Don't
wait 1-2 weeks on this one. Do your own research, please.
